An online car insurance policy looks similar to a paper policy. It also depends on the type of coverage one desires to purchase that is reflected in the policy. The declarations page will show the liability amounts purchased and additional types of coverage purchased. Also shown are the vehicle(s) insured and the driver’s information, such as their address and phone number.

It also acts like a paper policy, where adding another vehicle to the policy or receiving traffic violations will increase the premium. Many of the same rules apply to online policies; in fact, the only thing that is different is how convenient an online policy is.
