The headliner in the 2010-2013 Kia Soul may detach when the curtain airbags are deployed in models equipped with an optional sunroof. The Korean automaker is recalling nearly 100,000 vehicles to fix the problem.

In those specific models – of which Kia estimates there are 95,314 examples in the United States – the headliner plate surrounding the sunroof may detach when the side curtain airbag is deployed, which could serve to compound the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
