The second myth about life insurance:  I am Single and do not have dependents, so I do not need life insurance coverage.  However you may need life insurance to cover funeral costs. Additionally, you may want enough life insurance to cover the cost of personal debts and unpaid medical bills at a minimum.  Otherwise you could potentially leave a legacy of unpaid expenses for your family or executor to deal with.
