Cheap Auto Quote, Motorcycle Related Accidents During Summer
As the weather starts to get nicer, motorcyclists begin to head out onto the open road. In order to prepare for this, we have two words for drivers: BE AWARE!
So far, this year alone, Ohio has recorded 26 fatal motorcycle-related traffic crashes. According to an article in the Columbus Dispatch, “that’s down from the first six months of last year, when 76 people died in motorcycle-related traffic crashes, but the State Highway Patrol attribute those numbers to the warm spring and mild winter, as the first motorcycle-related fatal crash last year happened in January.”
Once the weather gets warmer, patrol statewide step up enforcement for motorcycles. It’s also important to focus on motorcycle safety by educating motorcyclists about driving licensed, sober, and trained.
When it comes to protecting motorcyclists and drivers alike, it all just comes down to drivers paying attention and being aware. So, be on your guard as the weather starts to get nicer and warmer and of course, if you’re driving, always drive insured.
