Research has found that up to 60 per cent of all whiplash claims are either exaggerated or fraudulent. Conducted by LV=, the study found that around 1,500 claims are received by insurers every day. However, over a quarter of people who claim for personal injury compensation as a result of a car accident, admitted in studies that they exaggerated their story in an attempt to get more money.
