Whiplash claims continue to rise.  This according to the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. The body, which represents members of the actuarial sector, found that the increase has occurred despite a decline in the number of actual accident injuries, suggesting a “change in claiming behaviour”. Claims management companies were held partly responsible for this change, which is unfortunately putting pressure on the car insurance industry, costing the business around 400 million.
