Auto Insurance for a Low Cost
Cheap insurance doesn’t necessarily mean a worthless policy, but instead it indicates quite the opposite and is valuable to every driver. Paying the least amount for a policy is a goal that most drivers have in mind while they search for their optimal policy. The lowest cost for a policy means the most savings for that policyholder, and the more a person can save on their insurance, the happier that driver becomes. We aim to help all drivers experience this happiness in their search for a low cost policy by offering our service in the form of quote comparisons and also by sharing our knowledge about insuring a vehicle.
Finding Low Cost Insurance
There are a number of ways to go about finding low cost insurance. One way would be to locate every insurer in the area and contact them individually to find out how much they would charge for a certain policy. This would include a conversation between the driver and the insurance representative that could take some time. The driver would need to give information about themselves and their vehicle to the representative and the representative would take time asking questions to put together a quote for the specified policy. The driver would hang up, call the next insurance provider, and the same conversation would occur again. This five to fifteen minute conversation would repeat itself over and over again with each insurance company, so depending on the number of companies the driver contacts, this process could take all afternoon. It’s important to get information from a number of companies to get an accurate idea as to the range in price for the policy wanted. Otherwise, by only checking one or two companies, the driver will probably not get the lowest price offered.
We offer a way for any driver to compare a number of quotes for the same policy that are offered by a few different local insurance companies. Instead of repeating the process of contacting each insurer and asking/answering the same questions over and over again, we ask one set of questions which go to a number of insurers and they come back with their quotes. The driver will spend 5 to 10 minutes total to get more than one quote compared to 5 to 10 minutes (or longer) with each representative per quote. Our method will definitely save drivers time and money.
How To Get Cheap Insurance
To use our quote comparison tool to find inexpensive insurance, begin by locating the white box requesting a local zip code, which is found on our home page and also on most of the other pages throughout our site. Enter in the zip code and proceed by answering the questions that appear on the new webpage. The questions that need answering are all about the driver; their age, gender, where they live, and their driving history including tickets and past accidents they have caused. Also needed are facts about the vehicle the driver will be using and insuring. This includes the make, model and year of the car as well as things like the estimated annual mileage. Finally, the last set of questions goes over what type of coverage the driver would like to purchase in addition to what is required by the state law. We’ll ask about the type and amount that is wanted to be added onto the policy.
The answers are then submitted by the driver and a list of quotes will then be sent via email or through a new webpage to that driver and are good only for that particular person. The driver can then review the prices given and even look more in depth at the companies who are providing the quotes. This gives the driver the opportunity to make sure they are getting the best provider and coverage for the price they are paying.
The CA Low Cost Program
In the state of California, they offer a program to low income households that allows them to pay a fraction of the cost for automobile coverage. It is known as the California Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program (CLCA) and is available to drivers who qualify. The qualifications that must be met include being at least the age of 19 years old, be a good driver, have a vehicle that is currently valued at $20,000 or less, and they must meet the income requirements (a certain annual income amount coupled with the number of people living in the household). There are five different payment plan options that are available, but drivers can only be insured through this method and cannot combine this program with another standard policy from any other insurer. The CLCA provides bodily injury liability per person and accident as well as property damage liability.
Because CA state law requires all of their drivers to maintain auto insurance, this program can help even low income families and drivers have the coverage they need to abide by the law and still drive.
Getting Premiums Lower
In addition to finding a low cost insurance policy, drivers can also utilize their abilities to qualify for discounts and other methods of saving money on a policy. For instance, households who have more than one driver should have all of the drivers on one policy instead of different policies. Each driver will pay less on the combined policy compared to having their own separate policies. Another way to get a lower price is by driving an “insurance friendly” vehicle. Expensive cars are expensive to insure, but quality cars with safety features are often less to insure.
Drivers of almost any age can qualify to receive discounts on their premiums by doing acts that show they are responsible. Student-aged drivers can receive discounts according to their grade point average. It’s usually required to have a B+ average, and the student would need to send a copy of their report card each marking period. There are also classes that can be taken by drivers to help them learn better safety techniques, and once they are completed that driver is eligible for another discount.
